About Jennifer

Jennifer is an author and technology, science and arts writer. Her first book, Love, Lust, Longing and Truth was published in December 2017. Jennifer writes about the intersection of tech and science with environment, culture, health and agriculture. She also creates journalistic content and micro content for tech brands and personalities around the world. 

Jennifer has access to the A-list in science and sci-fi films and has interviewed actors, directors and producers on films such as 20th Century Fox's film 'Hidden Figures' and 'Atlita: Battle Angel' and National Geographic Channel's 'Genius', Series 2 of 'MARS' and the documentary, ‘Jane’. She has interviewed leading tech CEOs, scientists, astronauts and personalities including Leland Melvin, Astronaut; Niklas Zennström, Co-founder, Skype; Colin Angle, CEO, iRobot; Jane Goodall, conservationist; Kevin Costner, actor and director; Stephen Petranek, journalist and author, How we will live on Mars; Kate Swanborg, SVP Dreamworks Animation; Marcie Jastrow, SVP Immersive Media, Technicolor; Annie Griffiths, National Geographic photographer, and Chitra Dorai, IBM Watson.

Jennifer started her career in the press office of Senator Sam Nunn and graduated to corporate communications at the Atlanta Market Center. She held several hybrid roles as a content creator for the in-house publication for the market center and publicity and public relations for market events which brought in more than 22,000 people from around the world each quarter. She worked for the Department of Energy as a media spokesperson at the Savannah River Site run by Westinghouse, where she was responsible for media and community relations for the site’s nuclear facility and new glassification plant. Jennifer worked as a liaison between Washington DC and the site’s internal media team.

Jennifer went on to work at Harvard’s Judge Baker Children’s Center as the Assistant Director of Fundraising and Marketing. She then became a manager at Brodeur Worldwide on the IBM team splitting her time between Boston and Armonk, NY. Jennifer was then a Vice President at the boutique Seattle PR firm, JLM Partners where she headed up all European client activity including trade shows, events and content. In 2000, Jennifer founded Ink Communications, one of the first virtual PR and content agencies. The firm focused on content and PR for telecommunications and deep tech companies. Eighty percent of the firm’s clients were acquired by major tech brands including Google, Cisco, Vodafone and Apple. The firm was acquired in 2014.

Since that time, Jennifer has been a consultant to technology companies and PR and marketing agencies including Roche Pharmaceuticals, Pivotal, Neura, Edelman London, Freespee, Mercury Global Partners, JAG Shaw Baker, Applicaster, Viaccess (Orange), KBS Albion London.

She's the producer of Unseen, a multimedia art installation by NY artist, Chantal Calato which debuts in summer 2018, and the founder of the short-lived, but lively podcast, Culture Junkies.

After living in Europe for the past nine years, Jennifer now lives in Boise, Idaho on a river with her beagle Henry and two very existential cats.
